“Maduro”, meaning “Mature”, cigars were oftentimes mistaken as strong and harsh types of cigars but as a Maduro smoker I find it sweet, delectable and very satisfying. Maduro wrappers are usually dark in color but its darkness varies from one brand to another. They vary in flavors as well and possess more complex taste than a natural wrapper. The difference of its taste comes from its fermentation process and here’s a tip to know what a good Maduro cigar is: leaves are fermented longer at a higher temperature. In other words, extra fermented leaves have rich, deep and flavorful characteristics that’s hard to resist. So here are my top eight Maduro cigars you must try.

  • AVO Maduro

A custom blend of five Dominican leaves wrapped in three-year-aged, twice-fermented Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper giving this cigar a medium-bodied smoke finished with a bold, rich flavor throughout and a pleasant aroma.

  • San Lotano Maduro

Manufactured by AJ Fernandez, this cigar is meticulously crafted, full-flavored maduro offering an impeccably mountain of smoke. It has an oily Mexican San Andreas leaf wrapper that gives off some hearty spice.

  • Camacho Triple Maduro

World’s first all maduro cigar and was created for full-bodied blend fans. It has rich and hearty undertones of spice and earth that are strong and bold without completely decimating the palate.

  • Perdomo Habano Maduro

Perdomo brand is known for its flavorful cigars and Habano Maduro is the must-try. Medium to full bodied cigar consist of premium tobacco from Perdomo’s farm in Esteli, Condega, and Jalapa. This lush has hints of cocoa and spice and offers layers of deep earthy Cuban Esque flavors.

A medium bodied cigar that is flavored with maduro gets with a blend of zesty Nicaraguan and Dominican leaf on the inside and a Brazilian grown maduro on the outside.

  • CAO Brazilia

This cigar is a jawbreaker form CAO cigars line. A full-bodied cigar made from finest Brazilian wrappers with Nicaraguan and Honduran leaves as fillers. Smooth, rich and full taste cigars from CAO.

  • Toraño Master Maduro

This cigar is the best Torano has to offer. The blend, draw, flavor, and overall experience could nothing be nothing short of legendary. In other words, it’s crazy-flavorful.

  • NUB 460 Maduro

This stick may appear short and stout but it is loaded with clout. This Maduro is filled with Nicaraguan leafy goodness and draped in dark and supple Brazilian grown Maduro leaf.
